Nursery

This year our farm celebrate its 29th anniversary (1987-2016). Since the beginning of farming, we have extended it from 4.42 ha up to 660 ha. Such a large area allows the nursery production on fresh soil, not fatigued by the same cultivation. The remaining part of the land is occupied by the agricultural cultivation.

We produce approx. 600,000 fruit trees, as well as 1,000,000 vegetative and 300,000 generative rootstocks.

Our nursery production includes

• 70% of apple trees,
• 10% of pear trees,
• 15% of sour cherry trees,
• and sweet cherry trees.

We have a licence for reproduction of the following varieties: Celeste, Rubinstar, Delela, Sawa, Waleria, Natali Gala, Idaredest.

We also have own breeding of the following varieties of apple trees:

• Szampion ARNO,
• Breburn Red,
• Jonagold ARNO,
• Delela.

In 1999, our farm was awarded in Agroliga – we took the 1st place in the Radom region and won the vice-championship in the Mazowieckie Province. The Company of the Year in the Grójec District in 2005 and 2006. We also took the 1st place in the category “Farmer in the Grójec District”, won the championship in the Mazowieckie Province and vice-championship of Poland in Agroliga 2006 (the “Farmer” category).

Our farm takes advantage of any possible forms of financial aid from the EU. This support helps us develop our production as well as equip our farm with state-of-the-art machinery.

The climatic changes, expansion of markets as well as higher and higher requirements of the customers caused that we have changed our tree storage system – from the dibbler into the cold store.

In 2005, we built cold stores for storage of trees with bare roots (at -1°C and 98% RH). They provide good conditions for keeping the nursery material for approx. six months.

The customers’ requirements are growing from year to year, besides winters become less and less predictable and therefore the interest in collecting goods from the cold store in spring is increasing. The current facility turned out to be too small. In the current year 2009, we have expanded the cooling and storage area of the farm by 1900 m².

Our aim is to produce the nursery material with higher and higher quality.
